Sousaphone

This is something I've been working up in tiny increments for many months now. It needs some more detailing but essentially it will be my Spectrum entry at the end of this month.

carbon scoring on your droid

i built a new vaccuforming box this weekend. the old one was a bit crude. the new one is leaner and has perforated sheet metal, not crudely drilled kevin-scavenged-metal. i used an old shop vac attachment to connect it to the old shop vac. the crazy melted one was my first attempt. it drooped all the way down to touch the rack in the oven. a bit of a burnt plastic smell in the kitchen. the cleaner one wasn't centered enough when i put the plastic/frame down on the box nor was the master high enough off the box/perforated metal surface to prevent all the wrinkles . oh well. really neat process.
