Sousaphone

This is something I've been working up in tiny increments for many months now. It needs some more detailing but essentially it will be my Spectrum entry at the end of this month.

  1. hey . pretty awesome. i like the striped inner tuba focal point. only a couple of things kinda bug me and they have to do with the tree, the road and the giraffamals on the road. for whatever reason the tree seems to push back creating a weird illusion that it recedes in space with the road. this mostly could be due to the curvature of the tree very naturally following the contour of the road. it almost seems to be pushed aside like a curtain to expose the road causing a flatness to the tree. the bark is cool, though ,as is the grass and rock texture. i have trouble grasping the size of the animals though they really complete the narrative. on other thing that isn't a problem but just caught my attention is the cloud shape to the left of his head that is approximately the same size as his cranium. it's a little distracting- it's so defined and so close in size to his gourd... this well done as f*ck though. maybe some "shiny" to the instrument? not sure what is made of. i'm overthinking it now.
