almost there. i'll make the other upper tomorrow and both will have another piece that rests on the thigh. i'll attach the bungie tendons to that. and those will attach just behind the heel. a few straps and some cushioning, and one more foot portion will keep the foot stable.
i'm concerned how comfortable its going to be. what is the angle of the shoes? are you going to be pushing all your weight into the toe of the shoe like a pointe shoe?
ReplyDeletenot comfortable at all. i have to rethink the foot angle. my calf muscles are sore as balls. not sure what went wrong. it's not a metal on skin issue. that can be solved with foam. this is muscle and feet at weird angles. like a point shoe. karen could do it
ReplyDeletewell.. the solution could lie in high heel like shape to the foot. allow the majority of your weight onto a part of your foot that doesn't hurt so much? (like the balls of your feet) you might be able to increase the angle less and still get a more comfortable stilt...
Deletehey. yeah. it's 45 degrees to the ground. i'm going to add a block that moves my foot angle to something not so steep. or do some serious cutting.
ReplyDeleteyes. cut off your foot. they just complicate things.
